Jared McLellan has been with us since 2022.  Jared attended Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio where he earned degrees in both Forest Management and Wildlife Resource Management.  The latter gives us a greater ability to assist our clients who want to mange their forests more intensively for wildlife!  His certifications include Prescribe Fire, Nuisance Wildlife, Wildlife Rehab, Tree Farm Inspection, Wilderness First Responder, and Chainsaw Operator/Timber Harvesting among others.

Having been born and raised in Mineral Ridge, Ohio (Between Youngstown and Warren), Jared is a great fit for our business in Ohio.  Being very familiar with the area and its various timber types makes him a great asset to us there.

Before joining A&O, Jared worked at Exodus Outdoor Gear as a product support specialist. There he worked with hunters and landowners on not only dealing with hunting equipment, but assisted them with wildlife management and hunting strategies. Jared worked with group members from The Hunting Public, Hunting Beast, OnX Maps, etc.

Since joining Tom and Dave, Jared continues to further his expertise in all areas while working more closely with landowners to meet their forestry goals. His extensive knowledge of forest ecosystems is invaluable.

He has rapidly adjusted his knowledge base to meet landowner needs in Tom and Dave's work areas and has already proven his abilities. Jared is an avid outdoorsman and spends much time foraging the forests for wild edibles like mushrooms, ramps, etc.

He lives in the Canfield, OH area with his fiancé Brooke, his two dogs Atlas and Junior, and his cat Dutch; and loves fishing, and hunting. Jared lives in an old farmhouse that he is renovating that sits on 5 acres next to South Range High School.

Jared is also a board member with the North East Ohio Forestry Association (NEOFA). There he has taught several classes including wild edible identification, whitetail habitat improvement, and whitetail shed antler hunting tips and tricks. Since 2022, Jared has found close to 100 shed antlers with an average of 30 per year!

His friendly nature, desire to help, and passion for education are wonderful!
